Locum Principal Social Care Lawyer RequiredReference: BRF8-91642An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Principal Social Care Lawyer to join a South West-based Local Authority on a locum basis,
starting ASAP. This role is offered for an initial term of
6 months, with hybrid working arrangements available.
This position will involve managing a combined Childcare and Adult Social Care team.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Managing and developing a team of solicitors and legal assistants
- Carrying out appraisals, one to one’s and motivational meetings
- Setting, monitoring and collating targets and KPIs
- To support, mentor and monitor junior staff
- Providing expert legal advice on childcare and adult social care matters
- Representing the council in respect of the above
- Advising on complex legal matters
- Liaising with senior stakeholders and interested parties
An attractive hourly rate of between
£70-£75 per hour depending on experience (inside IR35) is available for this position.
