Venn Group are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester, who are recruiting for a Prosecutions Lawyer on an initial 3-month locum contract, with potential to extend.

They are looking for someone on a full-time, hybrid basis, and the rate of pay is negotiable between £55 - £65ph umbrella.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing prosecutions and enforcement matters, from initial inception through to court advocacy.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Handling a varied caseload of Criminal Litigation matters and Prosecutions on behalf of the Council
• Advising in respect of selective and additional licensing schemes and enforcement work
• Conducting advocacy as required in relation to cases involving anti-social behaviour, trading standards, environmental health and licensing matters
